AI readiness assessment for owners

Before anything gets built, we look at how work actually moves through your shop, find where it slips, and tell you which job to set up first. Sometimes the answer is don't build yet.

What an AI readiness assessment covers

Your repeat jobs, where they land, who does them now, and what it costs you when they slip. Not your tech stack, and not a slide deck.

  • The jobs that repeat.Callbacks, quotes, reminders, follow-ups, bills.
  • Where each one lands. The phone, the inbox, the calendar, a notebook in the truck.
  • Who does it now.You at night, the office, or nobody.
  • What a slip costs. The job that went to the next shop, the bill that sat for a month.

Is your business AI ready? A short checklist

Tick what's true for your shop this month. Nothing is saved or sent.

Tick what's true. Most shops tick a few.

This isn't a score. It's a list to bring to the fit call.

What AI readiness means for a small business

It's less about tech and more about clear steps. If you can say what a good callback text or quote follow-up looks like, and someone can check a draft before it goes, you're ready for the first job.

You don't need clean data, a new system or a team of engineers. You need one job that keeps slipping and one person who approves.

What you get from the AI assessment

A plain map of how work moves through your shop, the jobs that slip, and the one we'd set up first. You keep it whether or not you build with us.

  • It counts 100% toward a build. When you go ahead and build with us.
  • It's refunded if we say don't build yet.You get the whole fee back.
  • Installs carry no cash refund. That's why the 30-day promise exists.
  • What it costs. We tell you on the fit call, before you agree to anything.

Assessment or audit: same idea, plain words

People search for both. An assessment asks whether the business is ready for AI. Our AI Ops Audit looks further, into how each job actually moves. On this site they're the same step: the look before anything gets built.

Already know which job to fix? You can skip it and go straight to the install.

What happens next

It starts with a fit call about where work slips in your shop. If it isn't a fit, we say so. If it is, you pick: the audit first, or straight to the install. Your first workflow is live within 30 days of kickoff, or we keep working free until it is.

An AI readiness assessment is a check of how work moves through your business and where AI could help. For a small shop it means looking at calls, quotes, follow-ups and invoices, finding the jobs that slip, and picking the one AI should draft first, with a person still sending.

AI-ready means your business has the basics AI needs to help: written prices or price ranges, a few examples of how you talk to customers, and a clear person who checks and sends messages. You don't need new software. You need the job written down.

A useful checklist asks: Where do calls, texts and emails land? Who answers them now? How fast do quotes go out? Are invoices sent the day the job ends? Do you have sample messages in your own words? Who would approve drafts? Each "no" points to a job worth fixing.

Expect questions about your week, not your tech: which jobs slip, how many calls go unanswered, how long quotes take, how invoices get sent, which tools you already use, and who on your team would read and send drafts. The answers decide which job to set up first.

It depends on the size of the business and how deep the review goes. Some firms charge a flat fee, others fold it into a build. Ask what you get in writing at the end, and whether you can act on it without hiring the same firm.
